Osprey Fairview Travel 55 - $200

*This is Haley’s travel pack and she’s had it since 2018. From Haley: When I traveled Europe in 2014, I brought a roller bag and got tired of lugging it into and out of trains/taxis/planes so I decided I really wanted a backpack for my next trip. The bag is actually a two-in-one, it has a day pack (connected by zipper and clip) and the large pack. The main reason I ended up choosing this bag is that it opens just like a suitcase, which I'd read and eventually realized makes a very big difference when trying to get to a specific item in the bag.

I also like that the bag is optimized for travel, as the straps can be zipped up and covered for storing in an overhead bin or checking the pack. I did also purchase Osprey's Airporter cover because I figured I’d want to protect my bag for as long as I could. However, it was more of a headache than it was worth carrying (it didn’t fit in my pack - so I strapped it to the outside) and I never used it on my first trip with this bag, so I haven’t taken it again since.

This bag is optimized by the use of packing cubes, and definitely brought about my appreciation of cubes for packing in any bag. I recommend these cubes as they come in a variety of sizes to help you separate out some of your outfits and make them easier to find when traveling.

Osprey Porter Travel Carry-on 46 - $130

This is Drews's travel pack. From Drew: This is the perfect bag for the traveler on the move. I like to throw my clothes & essentials in the bag, toss it in the car and head out. For a weekend trip to a 2 week adventure in Europe I can pack everything I need into this bag without any worry. My favorite aspect about this bag is that you can use it as a backpack or a standard soft-sided travel bag (safe for checking onto a plane) by folding the straps into the bags to prevent any loose hanging straps. The price is a little steep but the quality and customer service of the Osprey bags is worth it, this the bag you can have for the rest of your life.

Osprey Daylite - $60

This is Drews's daypack. From Drew: I love my Osprey Daylite pack for my everyday adventures. I use it regularly in my day-to-day life as a light weight back to carry some of my daily needs. I usually take it on our extended walks with the dogs or if we are heading out on any biking adventures. The best feature of getting this back is that it is compatible with above carry-on bag to attach to it so I can easily bring both bags when I am traveling. Osprey offers a few different varieties of the Daylite pack, pick the one that suits your life and head out for your next adventure.
