Our Denver, Colorado with Baby Itinerary

Denver is hands down one of my favorite places to visit. I love how easy it is to mix an outdoorsy hiking vacation with good food + drinks! Our friends just moved back into Denver, so we decided to make the trip with baby g!

Day 1: Arriving in Denver

  • 10 AM: pickup from DEN

  • 11 AM: Stanley Marketplace (lunch)

    • We enjoyed Stanley Beer Hall which was kid friendly for lunch

  • 12 PM: pickup BabyQuip order

  • 1 PM: Settle at the house/unpack

  • 3:40 PM: Meow Wolf

    • Tickets required

    • I think best for kids above 6 (or when baby can nap in your fabric chest carrier, no strollers allowed)

  • 5:15 PM: Cart Driver LoHi (pizza)

    • suggest resos, Cart & Driver is worth it!

  • Return to house and chill for the evening / put baby to bed

Day 2: Exploring Denver

  • 9 AM: Brew Culture Coffee

  • Come back for a nap at the house (or never leave and enjoy a causal morning at home)

  • 12 PM: Denver Milk Market (food hall)

  • 1 PM: explore the Milk Market area

    • we walked down to check out some shops and just enjoyed being in downtown

  • Head home for naptime at home and to get ready for the evening

  • 4:45 PM: dinner at Tstreet

  • 5:45 PM: drive to Red Rocks (leave the baby at home with your husband so you and your BFF can geek out to one of your favorite bands alone)

  • 7:30 PM: See your chosen Red Rocks concert (ours was The Head and The Heart)

Day 3: Hiking

  • 8:45 AM: Denver Biscuit Company

  • 9:30 AM: Tí Cafe (5 min walk from Denver Biscuit Company)

  • 9:40 AM: drive to Colorado Springs

  • 10:40 AM: Garden of the Gods

    • Parking is tough, getting here earlier would’ve been better

    • stroller would be possible if you get good parking, we elected to use the structured carrier so we could walk farther and not be restricted by the strollers limits.

  • 12 PM: lunch at Shugas

    • expect a wait if you want to be inside, it’s small but cute

  • Head home and relax at home, decide you’re tired of hearing baby scream in the car seat, and elect to have a past night at the house. Send the boys out for groceries.

  • Play games and enjoy time with friends while baby sleeps (once she finally does)

Day 4: We’re Getting Tired

  • 9 AM: croissants & coffee at Denver Central Market

    • We tried the viral Izzio Bakery croissants, I didn’t love them, they have a ton of better-looking options instead ;)

    • Plenty of other breakfast options including bagle sammies and smoothies

  • 11 AM: Puttshack

    • reserve a spot in advance

    • don’t get overzealous one course is enough

  • 12:30 PM: Slaters 50/50

    • you can walk from Puttshack if you are tired of hearing a baby cry in her car seat, but it’s a walk.

    • honestly forget this one, we didn’t love it and you can eat somewhere better closer

  • Have a drink to decompress from your not-so-exciting lunch and a very hot walk back to the car at Death and Co.

    • all will be restored with a visit to Death and Co., they may just ask if they can put your stroller out of the way (very politely)

  • Head home for leftover pasta and to learn how to play a new board game (we were taught Catan)

Day 5: Leaving Time

  • Sleep in because baby is sleeping in

  • 10 AM: brunch at Root Down

    • make a reso or arrive early

  • Head back to change and finish packing

  • 1 PM: Rockies game

    • they lost by 24 the week prior, explain to me while the entire Denver metro was trying to attend this game.

    • We ended up driving around so long we didn’t even go in because we needed to hear to the airport

  • 2 PM: drive home to pack up & load up

  • Be dropped off at the airport by your amazing friends who volunteer to return your baby rentals so you don’t have to be stressed about how much time you have to get through the airport.
