We woke up around 8:30am in Ibiza and enjoyed a nice breakfast at our hotel. After breakfast, we called a taxi and headed out to the Hippy Market. Two things:

  • I honestly had ZERO idea the island was as big as it is… I really don’t think you can get a hotel in the “perfect” location but man taxis are expensive!!!

  • I’m not sure how we got lucky enough to have our one full day in Ibiza be the ONLY day of the Hippy Market, but I am so thankful.

The hippy market was awesome!! I only have one picture of the entrance sign and none of the rest of it because I was too busy looking around (and navigating all of the people). We each came out with a few items… I purchased a straw purse, a dress, shorts, and 3 small paintings!! I have NO idea how I’m fitting it all in my bag but I couldn’t leave it behind. If you come to Ibiza you have to make it to one of the markets!

After the Hippy Market, we walked down the beach from our hotel in search of food and ended up at one of the restaurants along the shore. We enjoyed tapas and drinks and then headed back to lay in the sun for the rest of the day!

For dinner, I lead to the way on foot to Old Town Ibiza which was about 25 minutes from our hotel. It was a strange walk, through residential areas that felt like tourists shouldn’t be in, but pretty easy to do. Again, taxis in Ibiza are expensive, and there aren’t that many roads so it takes just as long to walk as it does to drive or at least it seems that way. Old Town was incredibly touristy but worth checking out… and we can say we’ve seen it!

Overall, I LOVE IBIZA!!! I need 3 more weeks here, in the sunshine, going to EDM shows, and drinking fruity drinks at the beach. I will be back!!
