Favorites: Ruggable

About a year and a half ago, we decided (with the help of Drew's mom who had already sourced her own), to take the plunge into the Ruggable world. When we moved in to our house three years ago we purchased a very "cute" but very impractical rug from Lowes. It cost us around $200 and honestly served its purpose for quite some time. This rug saw a lot, from the time I quit my job and decided to take up pet sitting and subsequently dog sat a nervous french bull dog who puked all over my house, including on the rug. To the addition of Erie in our house who was afraid to make us mad by asking to go outside so she started peeing on the rug.... it was no longer white, to say the least. I tried my hand at washing the rug outside twice, and the second time was enough for me to say I needed a new rug.

We finally purchased our Ruggable rug around Thanksgiving with a 20% discount code. Our Ruggable was around $350. This includes both the Ruggable velcro base and the actual rug "topper." With one velcro base you could add on a ton of rug toppers for less ($120), so we could in theory switch out our rug whenever we wanted for $120. From the start, I loved it, it was very flat and not super plush (which is what we had perviously). It is very easy to vacuum, especially when trying to collect the dog hair, and even when we make a minor spill it wipes right up. We FINALLY got around to putting it in the washer for the first time since we got it about a year ago. We tried to put it in our own washer, and while it did fit size wise, it didn't fit to actually get clean. We ended up taking it to the laundry mat around the corner (a very minor inconvenience) and 50 minutes later we went back to pick up a very brand new looking rug. We laid it outside in the sun for a bit to dry, but following the instructions we did not let it fully dry before placing it back on its velcro base. I am SO happy with how much cleaner it looks, and how much easier it is to clean. I definitely think we will be purchasing more Ruggable's in our future and would highly recommend this product in any high traffic area, or anywhere really!

Our Ruggable is the Herringbone Batik Ocean Blue Rug and it goes really well with our grey/blue and natural dark wood themed first floor. Use this link to get 15% off your purchase of a Ruggable!
