Day 1 - We arrived in Madison around 5pm and checked into our room at The Graduate. They offer parking for $32/night which we took advantage of because why not. You likely could’ve found cheaper parking around campus but we didn’t want to spend the short amount of time we had driving.
We headed upstairs to Camp Tripalindee for a drink and to check out the rooftop views. They have an excellent cocktail menu and a food menu, too.
From there we walked around state street before meeting friends for dinner at The Old Fashioned. We loved getting to experience this well-known restaurant and the cheese curds were the best I had all weekend.
We enjoyed strolling home along state street and wanted to pop into all of the bars, but as new parents were too tired, haha.
Day 2 - We woke up and headed out in search of coffee, we ended up at Colectivo Coffee because they opened early at offered breakfast sandwiches. We loved our choices and the coffee was great.
From there we headed out to walk around campus and check out the sites. We loved the lakefront trail and ended up at the Union Terrace as they were getting it set up for the day. Had we had more time we would’ve come back to enjoy a drink and the views. From there we headed out of town, but we cannot wait to be back in Madison again soon!
