Free Printable Toddler Charts: Visual Schedule & Potty Training Chart

Welcome to Our Great Bucket List, a space where we share real-life family travel tips, toddler-tested gear, and helpful tools that make everyday adventures a little easier. Whether we’re on the go or at home, we’re all about finding simple ways to create more connection, less chaos, and meaningful memories along the way.

Today, I’m sharing two free printable toddler charts—one for daily routines and one for potty training—that have made a big difference in our home.

A Daily Schedule Chart That Actually Helps With Transitions.

Over the past year, we’ve slowly realized how much structure and clarity help our daughter feel grounded throughout the day. After an OT observed her at school and mentioned she seemed to be constantly seeking reassurance—frequently asking “home?” or looking to teachers for direction—we started using a simple daily visual schedule.

It was nothing fancy at first, just a way to help her understand what was coming next. But it worked. So much so that we’ve continued using it off and on ever since. When transitions feel hard (hello, summer chaos), we bring it back out. I just updated it again for summer routines and wanted to share the version we’re using in case it helps your family too.

This printable is fully customizable—add photos of family members, teachers, or caregivers, swap in different activities, and tweak the order depending on your day. We print a few versions and use magnets or Velcro dots to move the schedule around. It’s especially helpful on days where things are not the norm (grandma pick-up, extra-long outings, a later bedtime, etc.).

Potty Training Chart (That Doesn’t Require a 3-Day Bootcamp).

We also recently crossed into potty training territory—and while I am absolutely not an expert, I did make a couple of charts that helped us ease into the process in a way that felt right for our family. We didn’t follow a program, read a book, or clear our schedules for a 3-day training sprint. That just wasn’t realistic for us.

Instead, we took it slow. We introduced the potty without pressure, talked about it casually, and encouraged interaction without expecting results right away. The first chart is meant for this warm-up phase—stickers for things like sitting on the potty, flushing, or even just helping clean it. We wanted the potty to feel familiar and not intimidating.

Then, once she started showing more interest and we spent a long weekend prompting her to try more consistently, we used the second chart.

We keep a basket of small rewards (stickers, dollar spot finds, snack packs, etc.), and once she earns 5 stickers on her chart, she gets to pick a prize. You could do whatever works in your house—one friend swears by a single M&M each time, which feels like magic to her toddler. The important thing is making it encouraging and doable, not stressful.

If you want to set up something similar, I’ll link the reward basket items we used and the sticker pack that’s been a big hit in our house:

  • Our Reward Basket Assortment

    • I utilized items we already had (extra unopened tonies, little people) or needed (rain coat, new crayons)

  • Sticker Pack

    • This one has been a hit for the variety, I can change up the “animals” on a daily basis to keep her interest!

If you try either of these templates, I’d love to hear how it goes. Every kid is different, and we’re all figuring it out as we go. These printables aren’t a fix-all, but they’ve brought a little more peace and predictability to our days—and that’s a big win in this season.

Let me know if you customize them or come up with another version that works better for your little one!
